Great views in Cairo

For a great view over the city and as far as the pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Darshur I recommend going up to the revolving restaurant on the 40th floor of the Hotel Grand Nile Tower, just along from the Four Seasons Hotel on Corniche El Nil. We were lucky to have a clear day and the view was stupendous. The restaurant was empty when we were there, late afternoon, and the member of staff on duty was happy for us to walk around, and pointed out key sites.
