Can somebody confirm that I have got this right......? Have a cheap flight into Sharm from UK and intend to go to Jordan overland through Israel. I can buy a single entry egyptian visa at the airport in Sharm and when I go into Jordan can get the free ASEZA visa. When I return to Egypt can I then get a free sinai pass rather than having to get another entry visa as I will be staying just in Sinai? I know this comes up again and again but that's because it's confusing - or am I just a bit dim?

You do not need to get any Egyptian visa at all.

If you arrive in Sharm and are going up to Jordan via Nuweiba or Taba then you do not need an Egyptian visa, as long as you are staying less than 15 nights on Egyptian soil.

Likewise, when you return back to Sharm, assume you will be coming through Taba or Nuweiba and staying less than 15 nights on Egyptian soil, you will not need an Egyptian visa.

Just write on the back of the disembarkation form "Sinai"Only" and head through passport control.

That's fantastic - I did wonder if I could waive the whole visa thing altogether. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated (love the idea it won't cost a bean).

Hello.....

To be honnest, you don't need to pay but you have a free Sinai pass, and a stamp in passport. Note that this stamp forbids entrance to Syria and Lebanon.

Cheers, mate.

Gordoosh, I booked with XL.com flying from Bristol airport - this is just a charter flight so restricted with time - I only have ten days. Might be worth having a look, they fly from other airports around the country. Don't know where you are in the UK but if you're anywhere near Edinburgh flyglobespan.com go to Sharm now aswell. Good luck.
