Hi everyone,

I am an Australian currently in Tunisia, and going to travel overland through Libya into Egypt.

I would like to know if you can obtain an Egyptian visa at the Libya/Egypt border or do we need to get them in Libya or Tunisia from a Egyptian consulate or embassy?

If I can get info on costs, requirements and time to process the visa from people with experience it will be a great help.

Thanks.

Apparently you can get your visa at the border at Salloum, and should cost about 15 US$. If you can get a visa for Lybia, most others should be a piece of cake. haha. I personally have gotten my visas for Egypt at a consulate, Cairo airport, or at the Taba crossing with Israel (I didn't need a visa for that). I have read that for an Aussie passport, the visa is AU$35 single entry, AU$42 double. I would call the Embassy to double check the info. Good luck!
