I found a cheap flight from Canada to Cairo and now I am looking at getting from Cairo to Bamako. All the travel seach engines state that this would likely cost me $800.00 USD. Can anyone let me know where/how I can find a cheaper flight?? In reallity how much should this flight cost??? I also plan to go to Tanzania after Mali, so if you have any cheap travel tips on how/ where to go and what the cost should be I would really appricaite it

$800USD is pretty good to me. i spent about $1100 from hawaii to amman and then damascus back to hawaii. flights to and from hawaii are normally pricey though. but $800 doesn't sound half bad. how many stops do you have along the way? normally the more stops the cheaper but the more potential for disaster with security lines and bag checks.

I think OP means Cairo - Bamako is $800 (return or one way ?).
The itinerary is crossing the continent - twice. Maybe it would be cheaper to do Cairo - Tanzania, then Mali and fly from there ?
Either way internal fares in Africa aren't cheap - no Ryan Air here

I am planning Cairo- Bamako-Tanzania then SA to Turkey (all one way). Is The a air pass that can be purchased for air travel in Africa??

Thanks for the info!

You are going to pay a lot for that, no way around it.

You might contact SA airlines, do Cairo-Tanzania-SA-West Africa-Cairo. Then over to Turkey.

Royal Air Maroc might do it too, although you'd be going through Casablanca.

Ethiopian Airlines also. Kenya Airways.

Try a consolidator out of London as well.

You could always look at taking a flight from Cairo to Paris or Casablanca and another one from there Bamako - might be cheaper.
