Hello,

I would like to start my Africa cycle trip in Cairo coming from Turkey by ferry in around two month time (November).

Can anyone tell me how the situation is in the Nile Valley right now ? It is hard to predict if it will be safe enough to travel through Egypt in November so I have a plan B but I would very much prefer to stick to my original plan.

....... its unlikely the Egyptian crises will be resolved to facility your planed trip in November, move to plan B.

Yes, I would be dusting down plan B too. Lots of places in the Nile Valley have been far more unstable and messier than Cairo over recent weeks.

Also, how are you moving from Turkey to Egypt? I'm looking to do the same but finding anyone with up-to-date info on travel options at the moment is proving impossible! As you're planning a similar trip, it would be amazing to have some first hand knowledge!
