Alexandria, Egypt

I was thinking of setteling down in Alexandria for a month and going for my TEFL certification. Before I do so I would like to know more about the seaport city. How are the people? How's the city itself....generally busy and dirty or well kept offering a sense of organization?

Has anyone gone for their TEFL certification in Alexandria? I'd love to hear any experiences.
