I came across this: http://www.essentialtravelinfo.com/accommodation/whale_watching/southern_africa/botswana/index.html

Anyone know where it's possible to see whales?

Is it safe?

Can I ski there too?

I suppose they might have captured one and have it in a pool off the Limpopo. But I would have thought it would be well-known that there whales 2000 miles from the sea!

Safe? Are you blonde?

Ski? Please stick to the patrolled areas.

I had heard there were lots of whales on their Pacific coast ... where's the best spot?

I tend to go blonde in the sun, will this be a problem?

Prefer off-piste skiing, is this possible?

The whales along the Pacific coast behave in a notoriously inappropriate manner toward fearful blondes, whether natural or sun-bleached. The best approach is therefore to do your whale-watching during the long, winter months when the sun does not rise above the Botswanan horizon. It goes without saying that the winter months in question are November-January.
