Hi All

I've poked around on the forum but didn't find any current postings. We're looking for the most economical way to get from Livingstone to the Chobe Safari Lodge, then to the Kasane Airport. Does the Lodge provide reasonably priced transfers? I've booked accommodation there but they aren't too helpful with additional info (prebooking game activities, transfers, etc). Is it best to prebook or should we count on sorting it out when we get there?

Thanks for any tips.

Hi. I made the mistake of going to Kasane via Livingstone. Trouble is you get stung fo about £75 "visa" every time you enter Zambia. Obviously Vic Falls might be reason enough but it's important to bear it in mind.

Apart from the obvious answer, hitch a lift is cheapest, I would say taxi. Just make sure you have the fee pre arranged. it's such a busy ferry you can't go far wrong getting a lift on either side of the Chobe.

Hope that helps...

Thanks

I think we have the transfers figured out and I'm planning to get the Visa before we leave Canada - it will be a bit less that way.

Cheers.

Thanks again.

I just emailed Tutwa Travel for some info. We had it pretty much sorted out but still have one or two loose threads.

Cheers.

We got transfers through www.afrizim.com, I think it cost around 50 USD each from Livingtone to the lodge. The lodge is actually quite large btw, and suprisingly we saw more wildlife from the boat than on land in the car.
