Hi there,

I know this has been asked various times before, but I can't see any recent reviews (i.e. within the last year), so I'm asking again!

We are thinking of doing the Cape Town to Vic Falls Tour (Southern Sun) and wanted to know, if anyone has done it, and reviews on it, and/or mainly whether you have any reviews on this company at all?

Thanks!

Luci

ATC are still travelling strong, they've got trucks all over the place in Eastern and Southern Africa with guaranteed departures. Haven't been myself as a tourist, but used to work for them and being such a large company they've got a pretty professional set-up, in particular they have three crew members instead of the usual two, which is a bonus. Can be a bit hit and miss with what tour leader you get (they are "tour leaders", not "tour guides", meaning they generally have no professional qualifications relating to Africa or the wildlife), but they're generally pretty capable of getting you from A to B and having a good time along the way.

One thing I will add is that very little is included in the cost of the tour, you'll need to budget for all the extra activities, so if you're leaning towards ATC based on cost alone just remember to factor that in. I once had a client who couldn't afford the cost of the two night camping trip into the Okavango Delta (I think it was about $120 at the time), which kind of begs the question why didn't she budget for one of the highlights of the trip?!!!

I know they have a facebook page so you could always check that for recent reviews or comments.

You're welcome to PM me if you have any more queries.
