I looked at going into the Semiens (and possibly climb Ras Dashen). Is that possible?
If not, is there other trekking I can do in the highlands? The more I can hike amongst tall mountains the better. I would prefer to keep trip costs to a minimum.

In November I will be travelling through Guinea Bissau and Guinea. My journey starts in Bissau, and ends in Conakry. When I enter Guinea I will go via the Gabu - Koundara - Boke route. However, once I'm in the Fouta Djallon I would love to explore the area a bit.
