AS OF JANUARY 7, 2013 pre-paid on-line reciprocity fees before departure and arrival will be payable for all entries into Argentina for Americans, Australian or Canadians, whether by land , sea, or flight. :(
Pre-payment has already started, no problems reported so far, it just does not become obligatory until 28 DECEMEBER 2012 for flights to Aeroparque or for Ezeiza International Airport, BA. As of Right now…

We are headed there in two weeks, bringing our own gear and camping/trekking savy experience.
What is the cost however? I know you don't necessarily need a guide, and at the price points I have seen I couldn't afford one. Is there any others who have experienced these ruins on their own or with some local knowledgeable fellow travelers? Any tid bits of info will be usefull.
I will be in French Guiana for a month and would like to try and get a local pre paid SIM card for my mobile (cell) phone, with access to the Internet. Has anyone had experience buying a local SIM in Cayenne? Is it easy or possible for international travellers to get one? Thanks in advance for all replies.
