We are headed there in two weeks, bringing our own gear and camping/trekking savy experience.
What is the cost however? I know you don't necessarily need a guide, and at the price points I have seen I couldn't afford one. Is there any others who have experienced these ruins on their own or with some local knowledgeable fellow travelers? Any tid bits of info will be usefull.

Recently, I read about open air free salsa lessons being offered every week in Cuzco, near the main plaza. Now I cannot find the original source. Has anyone heard of these dance lessons? Do you know the days/times?

I will be in French Guiana for a month and would like to try and get a local pre paid SIM card for my mobile (cell) phone, with access to the Internet. Has anyone had experience buying a local SIM in Cayenne? Is it easy or possible for international travellers to get one? Thanks in advance for all replies.
