We are a group of 6 adults traveling around Peru. Near the end of out trip we want to spend some time in Pisco area (2-3 days). So we fly back into Lima on a Wednesday at 12:50. What is the easiest, quickest, and most cost efficient option for 6 people? We don't mind taking public transit, however none of us speak very well in Spanish, so it would have to be pretty self explanatory for that. Would it be better to transfer into city to catch a bus or to hire a private vehicle or taxi to…
Me and my partner are thinking of travelling to Brazil on the 2nd of June, returning on the 22nd. Both mid twenties, and quite active, and very interested in absorbing the atmosphere of a place and its culture!
The places on our 'checklist' so to speak are:
The Amazon (thinking of Ukari Lodge in Tefé)
Rio de Janeiro (soaking up the City and some typical sight seeing)
Paraty (colonial architecture)
Salvador (colonial architecture)
Barra Grande - Marau (for the beaches)
We're arriving to Lima on April 6th and planning with plan to visit Machu Picchu and Cuzco around April 9-10, then continue to Puno. I was being warned about heavy rains and floods, road damage, etc. that is currently in Peru. Do you have any information if Macchu Picchu will be accessible and if we should fly from Lima to Cuzco because roads might be damaged or closed? We actually planned to take bus ride from Lima to Cuzco.. Really not sure how to plan our trip now.
We're boarding a 30 hour(!) bus journey tomorrow from Guayaqil in Ecuador to Lima in Peru. We want to exchange our USD to PEN (Peruvian Nuevo Sol), but can't anywhere to do so. We went to Guayaqil airport but they said this is not possible. We then went to Delgado Travel (recommended by two separate people) but they only change between USD and EUR.
Does anyone know if it's possible to change USD to PEN here? If not, do you know if it's possible to do so at the bus station either in…
Wanted to see if anyone knew of a decent hotel/hostal that had a free or minimal cost airport pick-up and drop-off? We would prefer one that wait at baggage claim with a sign, since we wont have a cell phone to call. Any recommendations? We will be arriving after 10pm and heading back to the airport around 11am.
