Of the three park visitors centres, this is the closest to Dordrecht and thus the easiest to access. It offers guided boat and walking tours as well as boat and canoe rental (April to October only). A free 15-minute video gives information about the park, and changing exhibits highlight its flora, fauna and natural features. There's also an on-site cafe.
To get here on public transport, take a waterbus (year round) or bus (summer only). Waterbus service 23 travels from Merwekade to Hollandse Biesbosch (adult/child 4–11 €4/2, 12 minutes); note that there are no weekend sailings from October to April. From the waterbus stop, it's then an 800m signed walk to the centre. In summer, bus 801 travels between Dordrecht railway station and the centre (€3.50).
