The park is easily reached from any direction: national bike route LF4 through Arnhem is the closest major route, and there are 40km of cycling paths within the park.
Rent wheels at Geerts Tweewielers in Otterlo village or use the park's famous free white bicycles (complete with toddler seat), available at entrances. In high season arrive before noon on Sunday to ensure you snag one of the 1800 available bikes.
From Arnhem train station, take bus 9 (€4, 25 minutes, every half-hour) to the Schaarsbergen entrance (stop: Koningsweg) or bus 105 (direction Barneveld) to Otterlo (€4, 30 minutes, every half-hour).
From Apeldoorn train station in the north, bus 108 travels to Hoenderloo (€4, 25 minutes, hourly). Within the park, bus 106 (€4, 10 minutes) links the Hoenderloo and Otterlo entrances, stopping en route at the Kröller-Müller Museum en route.
