Corridor murals improve upon the miserable-looking exterior, but don't expect too much from Breda's 'hostel' which is largely aimed at groups. While individual travellers can book rooms, it's not uncommon for there to be no staff available (and the phone turned off) so prearranging arrival times is wise.
Dorms come with two plug sockets but are not usually sold per bed except for prebooked groups. There's a small kitchen and rear yard. The location is in a dreary housing-estate area albeit fairly central and facing a canal. Occasionally you might be assigned a room in the more attractive but similarly simple Breda Hostel near the train station.
