Amsterdam is an amazing city, brimming with quirkiness and creativity and bursting with stories to tell. On this very special tour, we're telling the story of multiculturalism through food tastings and shared experiences with local immigrants.

Your Amsterdam tour will begin in front of the Tropen Museum, a poignant place to start our tour given that we’ll be focusing on the cultural melting pot that is Amsterdam, and this space celebrates the people of the world and the wide-ranging cultures they have created.

If the weather is good, we’ll make our way through the peace and quiet of Oosterpark and then make a beeline for the local market. On the way, we’ll start our food adventure with some Surinamese flavours and while tasting these special bites, your guide will give you an insight into the culture and history of this immigrant group.

Our next stop will be a Syrian shop that not only sells various ingredients, but also cooks up some seriously tasty food. In fact, they are considered by locals as the best spot for falafel in the city.

From here we will make our way to taste some traditional Moroccan baked goods. You can choose whether you're in the mood for something sweet or something savoury (there's no wrong answer - they're both delicious).

Turkish desserts are an absolute must on this side of town, so we will also take you to one of the best shops to finish up your Amsterdam foodie experience.

The tour ends here but if you want to continue your immersion into Dutch multiculturalism, your guide will show you the way to other interesting neighbourhoods. Alternatively, feel free to ask your in-the-know local guide for tips on where to explore next.
