Kiteboarding and paddle-boarding is the focus at the family-run Ariki Holidays. Kiteboarding lessons take place on nearby Muri Lagoon, and Ariki also offers unique night paddle-boarding tours where waterproof lights suspended under the paddle-boards create a luminous halo in the lagoon's moonlit waters. Tours run Monday to Saturday by appointment for a minimum of two people.
Once you've had your fill of waterborne exercise, Ariki co-owner Julie offers sports, deep tissue and relaxation massage (NZ$80 per hour). She once helped New Zealand's All Blacks win the Rugby World Cup, so you're in safe hands.
