Surrounded by water and lush forest, these silent meditation retreats are held in English at the start of every month. Registration costs 2000B (to cover food and lodging) and is done on the last day of the previous month. The retreat ends on the 11th day.

Founded in 1932 by arguably Thailand’s most famous monk, Ajan Buddhadasa Bhikkhu, the temple’s philosophical teachings are ecumenical in nature, comprising Zen, Taoist and Christian elements, as well as the traditional Theravada schemata.
