Flights & getting there
Ko Kut is accessible from the mainland pier of Laem Sok, 22km southeast of Trat, the nearest bus transfer point. Three boat services as well as a speedboat service run from adjacent piers. Boat services offer free transport from Trat guesthouses and the bus station but not from the airport. In the reverse direction you'll pay 50B.
Speedboats will drop you off at your resort, if possible; regular boats offer free land transfer on your arrival at Ao Salad Pier in the northeastern corner of the island to your destination. Companies include:
Two companies run speedboats from Ko Chang to Ko Kut (900B, 2½ hours) via Ko Wai and Ko Mak. The cheapest way to do this is to book a through-trip with Bang Bao Boat via Ko Mak, with the first section by wooden boat and the second by speedboat (700B).
