Join this special dinner private cooking class in Chiang Mai. It is very suitable if you want to get a more personal touch and celebrate a special occasion by learning how to cook and have fun with a local in their lovely home surrounded with an organic garden. Use ingredients that you will personally pick from their organic garden for your favorite dish. Many fruits, herbs and vegetables are grown in this garden so you can enjoy eating and picking them up. The class is situated in the countryside, 20 minutes from Chiang Mai downtown and Chiang Mai International airport. You will cook 4 dishes plus make the curry paste from scratch and make special fried rice serve with your curry. You may choose your favorite dishes to make from the following categories: Appetizers, soups, pastes and curries, stir fried dishes and desserts.
You will be picked up from your hotel at 4.30-5 pm and head to the local market, see how Thai people sell and buy their meal, you can try some local food here. You will then be taken to the locals lovely home. There's a garden you will get to harvest ingredients from, a rice field just outside the back gates, and mangoes that grow right above your head. The kitchen is set up in a welcoming style where everyone cooks together and gets to try each others dishes. Please note that each person will have own cooking station and hands on cooking. You will learn to cook 4 delicious dishes, make the curry paste from scratch that absolutely can be recreated at home and make special fried rice pineapple serve with your curry. Individual taste and dietary needs can be accommodated for. A complimentary recipe book will be provided before you are transfer back to your hotel in Chiang Mai downtown.
