Jay Fai

Thai in Banglamphu

With its bare-bones dining room, it's hard to believe Jay Fai is renowned for serving Bangkok’s most expensive pàt kêe mow ('drunkard’s noodles': wide rice noodles fried with seafood and Thai herbs). The price, however, is justified by the copious fresh seafood, plus a distinct frying style resulting in an almost oil-free finished dish.

It's in a virtually unmarked shophouse, opposite a 7-Eleven.
