There has been frustration expressed about the number of similar questions being asked about onward ticket complications. The idea of this thread is that it might be a one stop shop for all the common questions so in future a link might be given to it rather than having to write the same info again and again-
How do I know the info already on Thorntree about this is still current ?
The basic issues about onward tickets have changed little in the last 25 years or more. When there are any…
Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a form of transport besides a private minibus to get from Nathon Beach over to Big Buddha Pier. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to book travel to there in advance.
Hello, hello, is Songkhla good for a couple of days by the sea side? Weather wise this month(June) it is dry and hot right? No? Rain? I need to stay in some guest house by the sea side not too far from the town area. Anyone know of a good guest house (about 500 baht a night with air-condition)?

Who is now in Thailand, Hat Yai traveling to Bangkok?
My friend needs to go to Bangkok from Hat Yai. It is very urgent. He has only 20 hours to leave Hat Yai.
In private message I will write his name and location.
This is what I'm considering and like to have your thoughts.
2 parents with 2 kids (7 and 10). We arrive in BKK and after spending 3-4 days there like to head north. Would like to see Autthaya and/or Sukhothai. And/or because not sure if we'll be tired of looking at ruins.** Any advice on which one to see if we only do one?**
Anyways, then afterwards head to Chiang Mai and possibly further north to Chiang Rai etc.

I'm going backpacking solo for 27 days, from the 1st of July (landing in Bangkok) to the 28th of July (taking off from Bangkok) and I'd like to see both the north and the south of Thailand, also, I'd love to see Angkor Wat in Cambodia (I was thinking to fly there from Bangkok, saving time and hussle) and see the Elephants, not riding them but just feeding and washing them, so if you know a place where people take care and respect elephants please let me know.
I'd like to travel…
Yet another floating market question? I've read that the Tailing Chan and Mayom Floating markets are closer to BKK and less touristy.
Getting contradicting answers on the net that these markets are open on the weekdays? Can anyone confirm? And weekdays or weekends, what times are they open?
We don't really like to be restricted to a schedule and so don't want to do a tour, is there a way of getting there ourselves by canal?
How about public transport?
