Experiences with the local life up on the mountain in Maewang. Jumping in to the Karen hill tribe host family and being a local farmer for a day at "Banthoongluang" a local hill tribe village.
Duration: 08:00 am – 05:00 pmDepart from Chiang  Mai 9.30 am and visit Karen village (Baan Thungluang, Maewang district). Visit  Local market, meet your Karen home host, learn and talk about their history and  culture with the Karen villagers, go to the Karen organic farm, join their work  in the farm, pick the vegetables & other ingredients for your lunch cooking  as Karen style. Enjoy cooking and eating with Karen beautiful dishes which are  cooked in the bamboo stick as the traditional local style. Relax with a cup of  tea or coffee at the Karen bamboo hut before going to work in the farm with the villagers again. After that, take the bamboo rafting along the Maewang River and back to your hotel about 05.00 pm. Things to bring: Hat, Sunscreen, Sandals/Flip Flops,  Clothes for change as you may get muddy or wet, Towel, Shoes for walking, Bug Repellent, Camera. Package includes: Lunch, Transportation roundtrip, English speaking  guide and Karen local guide, a bottle of drinking water, Mahout’s outfit & everything mentioned in the program.
