Hi everyone, looking to go to Tanzania in the fall, likely late September/early October and wondering if six days (flying from London) is long enough for safari + Zanzibar. My gut tells me I need a bit longer but want to run it by you experts first. Also trying to get a vague idea of overall costs for the trip: I'm thinking at least 2,000 pounds for it all (accommodation, safari, food, transport). I try to be as frugal as possible in general as a traveler but I realise it can be difficult when…

My gf and I are in our mid-late 30s and planning our first trip to Tanzania. We are going to be in Arusha from June 10 or 11, 2018 and want to go on a budget camping safari for about 5 days to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Does anyone need 2 more in their group?

Hi guys, I plan on being in Tanzania for possibly up to three months after the new year. I'm interested in exploring the coast and perhaps traveling all the way south to the moz border. Beyond that not entirely sure what I should do. I've been to Kenya three times and my swahili isn't bad and will be coming from there. What are some suggestions for off the beaten track places to visit that aren't very expensive? Additionally, does anyone know of good, trustworthy, preferably free places to…

I'll be in Tanzania after the new year and am really interested in crossing into northern Moz, maybe going to the Quirimbas and Ilha de Mozambique. Anyone done this before? Info is spotty on the border crossing there. Safety? Cost? Transport? I'm 19 years old with a good amount of travel experience and a decent grasp of Swahili. I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks guys!

Hi,

We're currently planning a holiday that starts off in Kenya then finishes up in Zanzibar for a few days. Our flight arrives in Zanzibar at 20.45. Does anyone have experience with applying for a visa on entry? Does anyone know if there are restrictions on the opening hours? We were assuming that the visa application office would be open but couldn't find any explicit information. We were looking here:

Applying for a visa in advance…

Hi everyone,

I'll be flying in Tanzania with Etihad airways later this year, arriving at 12:45. I'm planning to get my Tanzanian visa in advance, but I will then need to transfer to the domestic terminal to get a flight with coastal aviation at 3pm. Will this be enough time to go through security and walk to the other terminal?

Thanks for anyone's answers :)

Hi, I'll be in Mwanza in and around April 17/18/19 and I'm looking for others who may want to join together for a safari to Serengeti and maybe Ngorogoro crater. I haven't planned anything but looking to do it on the cheap, if that's possible.
Thanks in adavance
Rob

Hi all, my boyfriend and me just cycled for 4 months in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda without problems. We're now in the south of Uganda and contemplating how to move forward. In the past there have been armed robberies on the road between Kigoma and Kibondo, does anyone know the current situation? Can we cycle there, should we take a long distance bus or taxi or avoid the area altogether?

Hi
I’d like to know if it’s possible to drive a rented car by ourselves and so have a good chance to spot the animals, even without a local guide.
To looking the migration in Grumeti is better going the last week of june or the first of July?
Thanks
