Why is the tour 15 days if the trek up Kilimanjaro is only 7 days? A 15-day tour ensures you have enough time to arrive safely, hire your trekking gear and settle in before hitting the mountain. It also allows you to immerse in the local culture and to relax a little before you head home. Both of these charities have been working tirelessly to conserve Africa’s unique wildlife for more than 30 years.After lunch, be inspired by Thomas Nyawir, a slum boy who through the generosity of a stranger received a gift that changed his life. Today Tommy runs a charity called the Mirror of Hope and is incredibly passionate about empowering vulnerable women and children living in Africa’s largest slum.Day 3 Explore the sights and sounds of Africa’s largest urban slum under the safe guidance of the Mirror of Hope team. Visit the home of your sponsor student and feast on a delicious traditional Kenyan lunch that you will cook.Day 4 Mystery day.Day 5 Travel to Moshi, Tanzania. Day 6 Rest and preparation day.
