The only ATMs are in Khorog. None accept Maestro and increasingly are failing to work with international cards. For this reason, it's best not to rely on this service and bring cash instead. Banks in Khorog and Murgab can change US dollars, but not always euros. Homestays accept US dollars as well as somani. Kyrgyz som are accepted in Karakul. Any left over somani can be spent or changed in Sary Tash in Kyrgyzstan.
