This 80m-high waterfall is quite a beauty, and the fact that you can float past it on a gondola (NT$220) is one more reason to come to Wulai. There's a minitrain (NT$50) to the base, or you can walk the pedestrian route beside the train line (about 1.6km) along a pleasant wooded lane with some mountain scenery. The minitrain was closed for major repairs after sustaining damage by typhoon at the time of research, but you can still see the falls.
To get to the minitrain station walk to the end of the pedestrian food street in Wulai, cross the bridge and head up the wooden stairs. At the end of the line are lookouts and a strip of cafes and restaurants.
