There are still people making clothes from tree bark and people making sea salt by cooking sea water for several hours. Come with us to do this projects with them and help them keep traditions alive. We will be either make handmade sea salt, tree bark bag, or wild cooking with them. The hand-made sea salt is literary from the Pacific Ocean and it tastes surprisingly well! 【Water Fun】 There are hundred of beaches along the East coast and we will show you beautiful ones to enjoy. If you choose SUB experience, you can challenge yourself to learn a new water sport. 【ART】 There are so many artists and artisans living in Taitung. We will show you their art works and introduce the stories behind. 【Fish harbor】 There are many fish markets in Taiwan but there is one last village is still doing Swordfish/Marlin harpooning, which is in Taitung. Harpooning sounds cruel but actually it’s one of the most sustainable way to fish. However the technique is a dying practice since less people are willing to risk. We will visit the village and the market to understand more about the culture. The most fresh Marlin the Taiwan is in the market too for you to taste. The activities might be adjusted due to weather or availability, but we always find the best alternative to give you the best experience.
