Taipei is an open, vibrant city for gay and lesbian visitors. The Chinese-speaking-world's most vibrant LGBT Pride Parade has been held in the city every year since 1997. Taipei has also gained a reputation as the place for gay nightlife in Asia. Other cities in Taiwan offer less lively options.
