Welcome to Yverdon-les-Bains

The town has a pretty Old Town and castle dating back to around the 13th century. From here it's a pleasant, almost-2km walk down to the shores of Lake Neuchâtel and the town's beach.

While some of Yverdon's luxury resorts remain, the central thermal baths facility is dated, jaded and lacks wow – both in the quality of the waters and its atmosphere – when compared to other offerings elsewhere (such as the Bains de la Gruyère in Charmey, for example).

All-in-all, Yverdon-les-Bains is a lovely town surrounded by gardens, with plenty of nice walks to enjoy, but if you're here for the thermal baths you might be disappointed.
