Ablaze with scarlet geraniums in summer, this 400-year-old chalet is a bargain. Creaky floorboards and small windows add to its cosy, old-world charm. The 1970s-style rooms are humble but spotless and there’s a huge communal balcony overlooking Staubbachfall.
The Chalet Rosa is a 350 years old building in Lauterbrunnen, 11 km from Interlaken and it offers rooms with private bathroom and breakfast every morning. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Most of the rooms provide views of the surrounding mountains and the bathrooms are fitted with a shower. A limited number of parking spaces is available on site upon availability and prior confirmation. Lauterbrunnen Train Station is 300 metres from the Chalet Rosa.
