As you'd expect from a 'land of three lakes', freshwater seafood features heavily in the region's cuisine and prices tend to be a little lower than in the cities of Lake Geneva, Pays de Fribourg and the northwest. Kitchens make good use of fresh, locally grown produce. Both Neuchâtel and Biel-Bienne have some depth of culinary variety to choose from and Yverdon-les-Bains has a good selection of cross-genre cuisine.
