Mjellby Konstmuseum

Southwestern Sweden

The main focus of Mjellby Konstmuseum, 5km west of town, is a changing exhibition of works by the Halmstad Group – six local artists who pushed the boundaries with French cubism in the 1920s and surrealism in the 1930s, influenced by Magritte and Dali. Not only were their pieces controversial at the time, but these six artists collaborated with each other on various projects.
