The Desert Rose Cafe is located in the National Museum of Qatar, and gets its name from the gypsum crystal that inspired the museum’s architecture. Its chef-owner, Nouf Al Marri, specializes in Qatari cuisine with a modern twist.

The chef brings stunning presentation and unique flavors to dishes like madrouba, a traditional rice porridge, and elba, a delicious, custard-like dessert.

Doha’s artsy Mondrian Hotel has a number of dining options, but EllaMia might be one of the most intriguing. The café offers coffee and sandwiches, though their patisserie and afternoon tea are particularly special.

The Rosemary Cafe in the Al Hazm Shopping Center makes a memorable first impression with its floral ceiling, but that’s just the beginning. Delicious coffee drinks and desserts are presented with a flair normally reserved for stage performances.

Dry ice adds a dramatic touch to spinning afternoon tea trays, espresso is poured from a bracelet into the Rosemary Pink Latte, coffee is topped with smoke-filled bubbles, and their "Boom" dessert is even set on fire.

And for anyone in need of a break from Qatar’s desert heat, there’s the Subzero Cafe, which is kept at a frosty 19 degrees Fahrenheit and bedecked with ice sculptures.

Visitors are able to bundle up before entering, and the menu of warm drinks helps keep things cozy inside.
