How we at Boeing are working to safeguard your health when you fly

As air travel resumes and restrictions ease, your health and safety remain our top priority. We continue working across the industry to enhance health safeguards and develop new solutions.

We’ve partnered with airlines, regulators and organizations around the world to create a multilayered approach focused on keeping passengers and flight crews healthy.

This multilayered approach aims to keep the plane virus-free and help lower the risk of transmission.

Step 1: Prevent the virus from boarding the airplane

You’re a vital part in the first step of safe air travel. Physical distancing, masking, washing your hands, checking testing and vaccine guidance, and avoiding travel if you feel unwell are key to everyone’s well-being.

Step 2: Keep the airplane virus-free

With guidance from international health agencies, we and our airline partners created comprehensive approaches to cleaning and disinfecting the airplane cabin and flight deck.

Step 3: Maintain a healthy cabin air environment

Our proven air circulation systems filter out more than 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, exchange the air every 2-3 minutes and create air flow that limits the spread of airborne contaminants.

Working together, our global partnership aims to provide a consistent air travel experience and bring travelers and flight crews the confidence they need.
