This well-established guesthouse scores points for its location: it's perched above the sea, 1.5km south of Ste-Rose. The six rooms are small and utilitarian but the views of the swishing indigo waters from the balcony are nothing short of charming. One quibble: there's no air-con. The owner, Madame Narayanin, cooks beautifully (dinner €27), using mostly home-grown ingredients.
Let the breeze tickle your skin while you eat authentic Indian and Creole cuisine alfresco on the covered terrace.
