St-Barthélemy in One Day

After ogling giant yachts in Gustavia's harbor, and the ritzy boutiques in town, spend the afternoon soaking up the sun at St-Jean's bar-lined beach. Adventurous types with plenty of energy might consider taking a cab to the western lookout point at the end of Anse de Colombier, and then walking back to Gustavia for dinner at local favorite Eddy’s.

St-Barthélemy in Three Days

On your second and third days, base yourself on the west side of the island to explore Grand Cul-de-Sac and Anse de Grande Saline, and spend blissful days by the beach or exploring the rugged hiking terrain. In the evenings, try out some of the internationally acclaimed restaurants that pepper the island, such as ultraromantic On the Rocks, and wildly creative Taïno.

St-Barthélemy in One Week

On days four to seven, hit the island's glorious beaches for sunbathing, snorkeling, surfing or kitesurfing. Other alternatives to get your adrenaline pumping include a sailing day trip organized through Jicky Marine Service or a scuba dive with Saint-Barth Plongée. A week on the island is an ideal time frame for renting one of the many private villas scattered around the island; check with the tourist office or book a villa at a resort such as Cheval Blanc.
