The currency used in St-Barth is the euro. ATMs are easy to find in Gustavia and in St-Jean, but they don't always accept foreign cards.

St-Barth's ATMs don't accept Amex cards but its American Express office in St-Jean fills the gap with services for members including emergency check cashing in euros or US dollars.
