Udawalawe National Park is one of the best places in the earth to spot Asian wild elephants that are gathering in the grassland feeding by Udawalawe reservoir. The habitat surrounding at the reservoir includes marshes, the walawe river and its tributaries, forests and grasslands. The National Park is an important habitat for the Sri Lankan elephant and there are more than 200 elephant believe be permanently resident. Asian elephant is the main attraction of the park though it decorating by number of colorful birds and verity of other animals.
The time of departure subject to change depend on the place where you accommodate and we recommend the afternoon session after 2.00pm for better sighting. The morning safari also available upon your request at 5.30am. Transport arrange by the safari jeep from your accommodation and the package includes Entrance ticket, Transport and 500ml water bottle per person. The package not includes the tips. The above price is includes all government taxes and fees. We highly recommend you to dress light color dress to camouflage for better sighting of the animals. As this experience engage in natural habitat of the animals we do not guaranteed 100% to sight all animals.
