With sugar-white sands and perfectly turquoise water, the astonishing beauty of the pencil-slim Trucador Peninsula rivals that of the world's most glorious beaches. Dreamy Platja Illetes slinks along the west side of this narrow sliver of land; on its east coast (just a few steps away) is equally gorgeous Platja Llevant. In high season these back-to-back twin beaches get very busy, but they're still an essential Formentera experience. The Trucador Peninsula is part of the protected Parc Natural de Ses Salines; there's a €6/4 admission charge for cars/motorbikes.
