Eating

Landlocked Teruel is devoted to meat eating and promotes its local jamón (ham) and other embutidos (cured meats) with enthusiasm. One local specialty is delicias de Teruel (local jamón with toasted bread and fresh tomato).

Plaza del Torico is lined with cafes and restaurants open from breakfast until late-night drinks. Paseo del Óvalo has an attractive row of informal restaurants with tables on the broad pavement – great for summer evenings.
