We'll explore and enjoy the amazing Costa Brava shoreline by swimming an itinerary of 2 kilometers with an experienced local swim guide. A welcome briefing and some warm-up swimming exercises will be made at the beach and then we'll jump into the water to discover this incredible spot in Costa Brava. We'll swim in a non-competitive way for about 1000 meters to the next coastal village of Calella de Palafrugell. Once there, the guide will give you some swimming tips and we'll swim through a small path between rocks that separates from mainland.The complete group will then return back, either by swimming or walking along the coastal path to our starting point for a typical Catalan breakfast with local products right in front of the beach.
We'll meet at southern side of Llafranc beach, right at the start of Via Brava swimming itinerary for a welcome briefing and some warm-up swimming exercises. Then we'll jump into the water and will swim in a non-competitive way for 1000m. with a qualified local swim guide to reach El Canadell beach at the next coastal village of Calella de Palafrugell. Once in Calella, our guide will give us some technical skills to improve open water swimming and then the group return back, either by swimming or walking along the coastal path to Llafranc.We'll swim into quiet narrow cristal clear water between rocks to explore and enjoy swimming in this incredible spot in Costa Brava. The Costa Brava seabed is unique for its extraordinary biodiversity as well as the opportunities afforded to observe underwater flora and fauna. Posidonia oceanica fields and a seabed of rocks or sand are the main environments found on the Vies Braves itineraries, with starfish, salema porgy, pomfret, white seabream, crabs, octopus, and more.At Llafranc, we’ll have typical Catalan breakfast with local products in a restaurant right in front of the beach. The guide will provide a Safety buoy and a swimming cap for each swimmer. The water temperature will be nice and warm from July to October—20-24ºC—so a wetsuit won't be required.
