Flights & getting there


Global operates buses to all points around the island, leaving from Estación San Telmo, at the northern end of the Triana district.

Frequent main bus routes:

  • Buses 30 and 50 express to Maspalomas (€6.15, one hour)
  • Bus 1 to Puerto de Mogán (€8.75, 1½ hours)
  • Buses 12 and 80 to Telde (€1.65 to €2.30, about 20 minutes)
  • Bus 105 to Gáldar (€3.10, one hour)

The night-owl bus 5 links the capital and Maspalomas. It leaves on the hour from 8pm to 3am from Estación San Telmo in Las Palmas, and on the half-hour from 9.30pm to 4.30am from Maspalomas.


There are car-hire firms at Gran Canaria Airport, the ferry terminal and throughout the city's Santa Catalina district. Avis has a branch at the ferry terminal.


Ferries link Las Palmas with Fuerteventura (Morro Jable, Puerto del Rosario, Gran Tarajal), Tenerife (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), La Palma (Santa Cruz de la Palma), Lanzarote (Arrecife) and the Spanish mainland (Huelva and Cádiz). Vessels are operated by Naviera Armas, Fred Olsen and Trasmediterránea.
