Flamenco has become increasingly popular worldwide in recent years. An art which has been inspired by many musical traditions, including great artists in different fields such as singing, dancing or playing instruments, guitar among others. Flamenco is a fascinating art classified as World Heritage because of its energy and passion. Would you like to learn Flamenco? We offer you an incredible chance to learn the basic techniques of flamenco dancing with one of our artists. You will get a general description about Flamenco dancing. You will recognise the basic styles and rhythms, you will learn some steps and how to keep the rythim with hands clapping (palmas).
Enjoy one hour of flamenco dance with one of our artists. You will learn the basic rythims and styles (tangos, bulerías) and a short coreography. You will learn how to keep rythim with hand clapping (palmas), how to coordinate steps (zapateado) and arms movements (braceo). Suitable for all ages, men or women who want to dance a sensual, evocative, traditional dance. Clothes for the beginner in a Flamenco dance class don't matter too much, but there are a couple of guidelines.Try to wear a top that gives your arms plenty of unrestricted movement and solid-soled shoes (not rubber) that produce some sound when you walk on them. Everyday at 5pm at Jardines  de Zoraya. Jardines de Zoraya is located in the Albaycín, next to the Salvador Church, near Aliatar square. How to get here: • walking: nice walk from the city centre (15 minutes aproximately); • by bus: line C31 or C32 from Plaza Nueva; • by taxi: it will drop you off at the entrance.
