Centro de Interpretación de la Reserva de la Biosfera

El Hierro

Housed in a 1970s social club (known as a casino), originally built by a returned emigrant from Venezuela, this environment and ecology interpretation centre focuses on the island's well-known commitment for a sustainable future (58% of El Hierro is a protected space).

Exhibits detail future plans and projects already underway, including a hydro-wind farm near Valverde and island-wide electric car charging points, as well as local history and traditions.
