A famous white elephant of the Spanish building boom – one year there were more landings on Mars than here – Castellón's airport, 33km north of town, now has some budget flights to Britain and several Eastern European countries. There are some bus and minibus services to Castellón (€12, one hour) and other coastal destinations run by Autos Mediterráneo that must be pre-booked online.
