Most of this huge area's many varied and enticing restaurants are concentrated in the Quadrat d’Or between Carrer de Pau Claris and Carrer de Muntaner, Avinguda Diagonal and Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. L'Eixample's restaurants can be quite pricey, but you can still sample their food at budget prices if you head over for the menú del día (daily set menu), which, although simpler in choice, is always good value. There's no shortage of decent bar-restaurants (often with street-side tables). In among these places are sprinkled real finds, offering both local and international cuisine.
