The History Museum of Catalonia is located in the Magatzems Generals de Comerç (MGC), the only preserved building of the old industrial port in Barcelona. The museum includes permanent and temporary exhibitions related to Catalonia's history for about 45 to 60 minutes and it also offers many other educational activities as well as cultural activities for family and kids. Discover Catalonia through the museum and also enjoy the nice view of Barcelona's Port from the museum's panoramic view point.
Visit: Museu d'Historia de Catalunya, Barcelona, CataloniaThe museum opens its doors at 10am and closes at 7pm from Tuesday to Saturday, although on Wednesdays the museum closes at 8pm. On Sundays and holiday days, the History Museum of Catalonia opens at 10am and closes at 2:30pm and on Monday the museum remains closed. It is also closed on the 1st and 6th of January, 25th and 26th of December, 1st of May and 10th of June. The museum is located in Plaça de Pau Vila, 3, 08039 Barcelona, near Barcelona's Port. The ticket to the History Museum of Catalonia includes the visit to the permanent and temporary exhibition only. Moreover, visitors can also access the panoramic view point on the museum's terrace of Barcelona's Port and if they wished, the 1881 restaurant is open to all the public serving local traditional Mediterranean food and cocktails. There isn't any other inclusions such as meals, transport or hotel pickup/drop off.
