During this 4-hour workshop, you will learn how to build a mosaic in the style of Antoni Gaudi, known as the "Trencadis" technique. Create an original piece of artwork to take back home with you as a souvenir. You have the option to choose the colour of glass, ceramic and grouting. Be creative on a tour that promotes the cultural tradition of millennial mosaic art.Please take into consideration, that after you have finished the Workshop, MOSAICCOS has to finish your artwork with grouting. Enjoy a workshop using a technique known as the Trencadís, a mosaic made with irregular pieces of pottery, marble and glass. This technique was widespread during Art Nouveau. Antoni Gaudí is a well-known architecture known for using the Trencadís. His work can be found in Park Güell, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and Sagrada Família.Learn how to use each tool, choose your own design and colors. Create your first mosaic artwork using this technique. You will be able to choose between three different pieces to create: a Gaudi salamander (like the one found in Park Guell), mirror or the FC Barcelona logo.Once you're finished, let your artwork dry so you can later apply grouting. If you do a morning workshop, you can pick up your mosaic in the afternoon (the same day). If you come in the afternoon, you can pick up your artwork the next day (in the morning).
