Explore the authentic local gastronomy of Barcelona with native experts all while getting to know the heart of Barcelona's historic center. This Barcelona history and food tour is for foodies who come hungry to enjoy a feast of Spanish and Catalan cuisine in an exciting and social way, by hopping from specialised stores, gourmet bars and tapas restaurant. This is a shared experience, with a maximum of 12 foodies.
This casual 3-hour afternoon itinerary is designed for you to savour Barcelona’s culinary heritage from a local perspective. The guides are local food experts who will explain in detail a wide range of local products that you will taste while visiting a locally beloved tapas bar and the city´s most relevant gourmet shops, family-run artisanal food shops specialized in wines and cheeses, pastries, or local olive oil. Your guide´s expertise, together with knowledge of Barcelona's historical center, are what make this gourmet walking tour different from others in the city. This tour will include a visit to a fantastic tapas bar to enjoy dinner with local wine, combined with a guided tour of the Born, Gothic and Jewish Quarter of the city. Along the way, your guide will point out some of the most emblematic highlights of the city and explain the history behind them. Also, during you tour you will stop at least to 4 different gourmet boutiques to enjoy some of the local products in Catalunya such as: olive oil, cheese or local tapas.
